If you have a Windows 7 Computer, here is some information for you!

Windows 7 is just fine, and you can continue to use it as long as you wish. Microsoft released an update that, if you have automatic updates installed, installs and then begins giving you repeated warnings that support is ending on your Windows 7 operating system. The update number is KB4493132 and it can be uninstalled to stop these notifications. The notification itself will tell users that “After 10 years, support for Windows 7 is nearing an end”. There is no earth shattering thing that will happen to your files on that date in 2020. It’s always a good thing to keep your files backed up, of course! Especially in a Windows 7 computer because it’s most likely not a spring chicken any longer. However, if you choose to uninstall this update to stop receiving these notifications, Got to the Control Panel, System and Security, Windows update, then choose Installed Updates. Find this listing with KB449312, right click on it, and choose “uninstall”. After that, Choose “Check for updates”. Once done, find that update again in the list, and right click on it, and choose “Hide update”. This will tell Windows to hide this update and not attempt to install it again.
